Portulaca plants are tolerant for the high heat and drought.
Care is minimal. Pruning and deadheading are not required for Portulaca in a pot.
If you plant Portulaca to balcony, check that your soil is sandy and fluffy and drains water well. Water thoroughly then allow soil to dry out between waterings. Watering normally only every two weeks or less is enough.
